Chanell Bell

Chanell Bell is an American actor, writer, poet and humanitarian who plays the role of Dr. Lauryn Williams on Power Book IV: Force. Born and raised in Portsmouth Virginia, Chanell made her theatre debut at only 9 years in a production called "The Write Stuff", where she received her first Best Actress award. Chanell went on to receive her Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Acting from Howard University, and her Master's of Fine Arts from the Theatre School at DePaul. She has appeared on tv shows such as Next, Chicago MED, and Easy, but her roots go deep in the Chicago theatre scene. Chanell was an ensemble member of the award winning show "She The People", where she performed sketch comedy at the Second City Comedy Club.  Her awards include the BTAA Phylicia Rashaad Most Promising Actress Award for her performance in "Moon Man Walk" at Definition Theatre. She was most recently nominated as Best Supporting Actress for her role in the short "Moving In Laws'' at the New Jersey Film Awards.
